This integrative review was conducted using the Whittemore and Knafl methodology and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. We describe two patients with bilateral atraumatic femoral neck fractures, which did not unite. Both patients, being relatively young, suffered from underlying nutritional osteomalacia. Valgus intertrochanteric osteotomy was carried out in both cases, combined with the use of vitamin D and calcium supplements. The patients' bone healing was monitored over a period of three years on average, and a full bone union was achieved without any complications.
The dual occurrence of femoral neck fractures, both sides affected, is a rare event; the further complication of nonunion in both fractured areas, particularly in the context of osteomalacia, is an even rarer condition. The hip's integrity can be preserved, potentially, via the surgical intervention of a valgus intertrochanteric osteotomy. In our cases, vitamin D and calcium supplementation preceded surgical intervention, successfully correcting the underlying osteomalacia.

In this investigation, we present the case of a 56-year-old male who encountered intermittent unilateral testicular pain following a proximal hamstring tendon repair, likely stemming from pudendal nerve neurapraxia. A year later, discomfort in the area served by the pudendal nerve persisted, but noteworthy improvements in the patient's symptoms were observed, and hamstring pain was completely resolved.
Despite the low incidence of pudendal nerve injury associated with proximal hamstring tendon repair, surgeons should be cognizant of this possible complication.
